Undergraduate RAs

Undergraduate Research Assistant Application

The Brain Imaging Research Core (BIRC) typically has positions available each semester for UConn undergraduates to work in the lab as research assistants. These students usually register for up to three credits of Independent Study and spend a few hours per week (~3 hours per credit) working at the BIRC. Previous experience doing research is not necessary–we train undergraduate RAs to assist the users of the BIRC with experiment preparation and data collection. Some students, especially honors students or University Scholars, develop their own research project. We accept applications on a rolling basis for the upcoming semester. Working at the BIRC is an excellent opportunity to gain research experience, so if you are interested in joining the lab, please fill out the form below. We are excited to learn more about you!
